YORK & District Table Tennis League division one leaders and title favourites Topspin York showed no mercy as they whitewashed bottom team York RI 'C' 10-0 with Nathan Taylor, Joe Wright and Jonny Wooldridge unstoppable.

Trebles from Martin Lowe and Lennart Lukosch allowed Coneysthorpe 'A' to secure a 6-4 victory over Clarence 'A', while Calum Goodwin was unbeaten as University 'A' defeated Coneysthorpe B 7-3.

Filip Wojtkowiak starred as York RI 'A' recorded a 6-4 win over York RI 'B'. for whom Mikey Arnold picked up two excellent wins.

Martin Hood and Alfie Potter were unbeaten as division two leaders Clarence 'B' dispatched Shepherds 'A' 9-1, whose Keith Webster played well to beat Mick Kenyon.

Bootham 'B' remain in second place after Ian Hilton inspired them to an 8-2 triumph over Strensall 'A', and Mike Cooper turned in his best performance of the season, securing two wins, to help Bootham 'A' defeat York RI 'E' 6-4.

A treble from Graham Hatfield could not prevent Clarence 'C' suffering a 6-4 reversal against University 'B', and three wins from Matt Ayres proved decisive as Poppleton battled to an important 6-4 victory over York RI 'F'.

Mark Blackburn was in top form as York RI 'D' beat bottom team Ryedale@RI 7-3.

Division three leaders Wigginton & Haxby 'A' are 19 points clear after a 10-0 clean sweep against South Bank 'A'.

Paul Greenwood and Peter Smalley were too good as York RI 'G' defeated Clarence CIU 7-3.

Clarence 'F' and Strensall 'B' shared the spoils in a 5-5 draw, with braces for Peter Taylor and Simon Prins matched by Terry Nicholson and Russ Scott.

Clarence CIU 'A' continued their excellent form as they crushed Shepherds 'B' 10-0 with Pete Corner, Jan Suchecki and Gary Bunce a class above their opponents.

Elsewhere, BT 'A' defeated York RI 'H' 7-3, while honours were shared in a tense 5-5 draw between Clarence 'F' and Clarence 'D'.

Despite a Christophe Bauer treble, Wigginton & Haxby C went down 6-4 to division four leaders South Bank 'B'.

Clive Pottage and Ian Oxborough contributed three wins each as Wigginton & Haxby 'B' thrashed University 'D' 9-1.

Thomas Cuthbert was unbeaten for University 'B' in their 7-3 victory over York RI 'I', and BT 'B' kept their promotion hopes alive after a bloodless 10-0 win over a depleted Clarence CIU 'C'.
