WIGGINTON Grasshoppers beat Hounds 4-3 in a thriller in the outstanding Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League Cup tie.

Hounds deservedly went in front but Hounds could not pull clear and Wigginton equalised through Tom Coates and went ahead before half-time as Neale Holmes scored after a neat one-two with Jamie Wilstrop.

Tom Derbyshire took the ball around the keeper to make it 3-1, but Hounds fought back to level.

They then had a late goal disallowed and Wigginton hit them with a sucker punch, Derbyshire winning it in the last minute.

Hounds' marksmen were Thomas Hogg, Sam Cable and Issac Leach.

Holder Malt Shovel hammered Selby Olympia 15-0 to cruise into the next round of the league's Senior Cup.

Derry Robson bagged five goals and Gary Collier four. Carl Stewart (2), Tommy Butterfield, Jake Raistrick, Kieran Latham and Wayne Brook also found the scoresheet.

Bishopthorpe CFC, bottom of division one, knocked out Bramham on penalties. It was 2-2 after extra time with Harrison Johnson-Evans and Nathan Walker scoring for Bishopthorpe and Danny Bass and Josh Wilson for Bramham. Bishops edged the shoot-out 8-7.

In the Junior Cup, Dan Clipston and Harry Moorcroft scored in either half as Haxby United beat Thorpe United 2-0, while Adam Chaplin and Jacob Green scored for Acomb Club but they were knocked out 3-2 at Rawcliffe United.

Liam Edmondson took his already stunning goal tally to 33 in just nine games as he scored all five in Atlanta's 5-0 win over Walnut Tree.

The last time the teams met, Walnut Tree ended Atlanta’s unbeaten run.

Meanwhile, in division one, Hambleton beat Brayton 5-1 with goals by Nathan Park (2), Nikolas Howard and Adam Deakin, plus an own goal. Adam Tessyman scored Brayton’s consolation. Hambleton leapfrogged Brayton to go sixth.

In division two, Burnholme FC finally got their first win of term as second-half goals from Danny Philips and John Brough gave them a 2-0 win over Clockhouse.

FC Harrogate saw off Kings Head 5-2, having been two up at the break. A hat-trick from Callum Sanpher was augmented by goals from Sean Robinson and Luke Middleton.

A Peter Baird goal gave Wentworth a 1-0 win over York Medics in a tight game between close rivals.

Meanwhile, Holders York Nomads, of the York Sunday Morning League, lost their grip on the North Riding County FA Sunday County Cup as they fell 3-2 at Northallerton outfit Sportsman in the quarter-finals.
