THE Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League big-guns Hounds breezed into the quarter-finals of the West Riding County FA Sunday Trophy with a 6-0 win over Crown & Anchor.

They will meet Leeds side East End Park WMC next month in the last eight.

YSML side Malt Shovel, however, lost to 3-2 to Bradford outfit Ventus United.

In the York Sunday Morning League Cup, division two leaders Atalanta progressed to the quarter-finals after beating Clockhouse 3-0. Ben Parker (2) and Daniel Paterson got the goals.

Walnut Tree saw off K Town 8-2. Tree went ahead after a defensive error and scored three more goals before K Town’s Ollie Holdsworth cut the half-time deficit to 4-1.

Jim Heels made it 4-2 on the resumption but Walnut Tree proved too strong. They ended with eight individual scorers in Luke Taylor, Mike Whiteley, Finlay Scott, Ryan Garbutt, Steve Smith, James Hood, Chris Barratt and Jordan Coulson.

Division two side Rawcliffe United knocked out division one's Brayton after a 4-2 win.

Rawcliffe started the better and went ahead after minutes, doubling their lead after 20.

They were also awarded a penalty a minute before half-time but Oliver Edghill saved the spot kick to keep Brayton in the game.

Brayton had not been able to get their act together but substitute George Cleary found the net after 65 minutes to cut rhe deficit.

Rawcliffe, though, struck back a minute later and they made it 4-2 before William Cleary got Brayton's second goal.

In division two, Acomb Club won 9-2 at FC Harrogate, having led 6-0 at half-time. Alex Day and Adam Chaplin both scored hat-tricks with David Jamieson, Thomas Medd and Ryan Day also on target. Callum Sanpher and Zak Allen netted for Harrogate.

Wentworth pipped bottom side Burnholme 2-1 after a close game - Dom Green winning it with two second-half goals.
