YORK City goalkeeper Ryan Whitley has today joined Whitby Town in a loan deal until December 2.
City manager Martin Gray is keen for the 18-year-old to gain first-team experience as part of his on-going development.
Whitley, who signed a two-year professional contract with the club in August, is available to make his debut for Whitby tomorrow in their Evo-Stik League premier division match against Stafford Rangers.
The highly-rated keeper is reportedly attracting interest from a number of clubs and has attended a training camp for young English players at the FA's National Football Centre.
He links up with City winger Connor Smith who is also on loan at Whitby.
