PICKERING Town rose to seventh place in the Northern Counties East League premier division after a 1-0 win at Garforth Town.

The in-form Ryan Blott got the goal in the 33rd minute, keeping the Pikes unbeaten.

An early four-goal salvo saw Harrogate Railway Athletic bag a cracking 4-1 win over Rainworth Miners Welfare.

The goals came from Mendes Dionisio on five and 24 minutes, Jason Price after 13 and Nathan James on 27. Jack Waddle got a last-minute reply.

Selby Town suffered a sucker punch in division one, losing 2-1 to Yorkshire Amateur.

Charlie Clamp gave Selby a 78th-minute lead but Daniel Naidole equalised after 84 minutes and Lewis Pickering got a 90th-minute winner.
