HUNTINGTON Rovers made it three wins from three for their York Minster Engineering League premier division campaign with a 4-1 midweek victory at Dringhouses.

After an even first half hour, Chris Dyson latched onto the ball and drilled a left foot volley under the keeper to give the visitors the lead.

James Edmond then hit a sweet curling shot to double the advantage just before the interval.

Rovers picked up where they left off in the second period, Tom Metcalfe making no mistake from the spot to add to the lead before George Brown made it 4-0 slotting home a rebound from a Jon James strike. A late Joe Rawcliffe goal proved scant consolation for Dringhouses.

Wigginton Grasshoppers remain the only other team on maximum points following their 3-2 success over Sporting Knavesmire.

Jordan Holt headed home an Eddy Clapham corner after 16 minutes but the lead didn't last long as Andrew Simpson fired home a rasping drive from 25 yards to level the scores.

Jake Duckworth restored Wigginton's lead, netting an audacious overhead kick against his old club before Pat Evans broke away from the Knavesmire defence to make it 3-1 just after the break.

A pinpoint free-kick from Sam Lingard reduced the deficit with ten minutes left on the clock, but 'Hoppers held on to claim all three points.

A dominant F1 Racing side led Copmanthorpe 5-0 at the break with four goals from the returning Chris Dempsey and a Liam King effort.

The visitors kept battling and were rewarded early in the second period, only to see Dempsey add his fifth to make it 6-1 shortly afterwards.

Cop netted a goal either side of Chris Smith's effort for F1 as the home side registered an impressive 7-3 victory to maintain their unbeaten run.

Osbaldwick have also yet to taste defeat and made it two wins out of three with a 2-0 triumph over Tadcaster Magnets. Their goals came courtesy of 17-year-old Isaac Clark and Dale Holding.

Old Malton St Mary's gained their first three points of the season, winning by the only goal of the game at Dunnington.

Church Fenton White Horse gained a 4-0 win over Poppleton. Sam Cable (2), Lewis Beecher and Jonah Beecher bagged their goals.

A hat-trick from Tom Collins moved Hemingbrough away from the foot of the table, gaining them a 3-0 victory at home to York RI.
