UPCOMING Malton & Norton GC ace David Hague will be donning England colours today (Wednesday) as he takes part in the amateur Home Internationals at Moortown, Yorkshire.
Hague, along with fellow Yorkshire stars Dan Brown, of Masham, and Will Whiteoak, of Shipley, are in an 11-man England squad which will take on Ireland, Scotland and Wales in bidding to regain the Raymond Trophy, which they last won at Ganton, Yorkshire, in 2013.
Since then, Ireland have been the champions.
The round robin matches will be played today, Thursday and Friday.
Hague, 21, has in recent times won the Lagonda Trophy and been runner-up in the West of England Championship, third in the Berkshire Trophy and eighth in the Brabazon Trophy. Earlier in the season he tied sixth in the Hampshire Salver. He also reached the last 32 in the English Amateur Championship.
