YORK City Knights have bolstered their forward power on transfer deadline day by bringing in Hull teenager Ross Osborne on loan for the Kingstone Press League One Super 8s.

Osborne, 19, spent a month on loan at the Knights in 2016 and head coach James Ford was pleased to bring him back for a second stint.

Ford said: ”He's a big lad, he carries the ball well, he can pass and he makes good contact defensively.

"He's got the tools to be a very good player as he matures.

“We’ve got seven very tough games coming up and I’m confident that Ross can make an important contribution to the squad.”

Hull boss Lee Radford said: “This is a great opportunity for Ross to get some first-team football.

"Ross is going to York to showcase his skills and hopefully show the development he's made since his last loan spell with them.

“We are very much looking to see him perform in some crucial games for the Knights.”
