JAYNE JANES and Tracey Farmeary had a 15-dart pairs game as title contenders Tramways ‘A’ saw off Marcia in their York John Smith’s Ladies' Darts League division one match.

The latter hit a maximum 180 and closed on 82 with 22, 20, double-tops.

Farmeary had already excelled with a 19-dart individual game, while colleague Gina Whittaker closed on 103 with 17, treble 18, double 16.

Faye Hawksby and Joan Hunter denied Tramways a clean sweep.

Julie Stables and captain Chris Lamb gave Edinburgh Arms a great start at home to table-toppers Fulfordgate and, after Muriel Britton narrowed the gap, Emma Frankland restored the advantage.

However, Michelle Britton replied with 100, 125 and a 120 checkout, Dawn Exton levelled with a 21-dart leg and the pairings of Alex Exton/Jill Reed and Britton/Exton sealed Gate's victory.

Clair Cooper and Di Moreland got Priory off to a flier at Leeman ‘B’ and Babs Harrison also won in the singles, with Julie Oliver (75 co), Brenda Dawe and Maggie Bedingham levelling the scores. A clean sweep in the pairs saw Priory take home a 6-3 win.

Toni Smallwood started Castle Howard Ox off against Severus ‘A’ with a 19-dart leg and, after Carol Robson replied, Anne Bass and Sandra Bruce gave the hosts a 3-1 advantage. Sue Clark and Davina Shannon levelled, then Robson combined with Steph Barker to edge the club side in front.

However, their lead did not last long as Bass/Tracey Watkinson set up a decider which colleagues Bruce/Wendy Shortle won.

Divison two leaders Slipper had Ann Parkyn, Jody Hancock, Vicky Sellars, Anita Adams and Doreen Johnstone securing match points before Cris Turgoose replied for visitors Clifton.

Linda Turgoose/Elma Standing and Alice Turgoose/Sarah Evans closed the gap in the pairs but Hancock/Sue Tate sealed a 6-3 result.

Severus ‘B’ kept the pressure on as Sharon Mountain/Sue Gillon won the decider against visitors Puss In Boots.

Susan Barker close on a two-dart 53 as Burton Stone proved too strong for visitors Leeman ‘A’.

Liz Jackson, Vicky McClaren, Sharon Nelson and Kath Powell gave visitors Saddle a sound start at Clockhouse before Kate Rankeillor replied for the hosts. Captain Doreen England sealed match points for the visitors. Sammy Benton/Laura Gatenby narrowed the margin but it was House's only other point.
