YORKSHIRE and Surrey were made to wait to start day two of their Specsavers County Championship match at Headingley.
No play was possible before the first scheduled interval following overnight, morning and early afternoon rain, although the scene does look much brighter at present.
Surrey will resume on 374-6, with Kumar Sangakkara on 82 and chasing his sixth Championship century of the season. He is just 12 away from 1,000 runs for the summer in only seven matches.
