YORKSHIRE are just two wickets away from an innings defeat against Middlesex at Lord's.

The White Rose county's second Specsavers County Championship loss this season would be their fourth in a row at the London venue.

Having been made to follow on 238 runs behind this morning, Yorkshire had reached 153-8 at tea in their second innings.

This left them still trailing by 85, with Steve Patterson and Ben Coad at the crease on 21 and eight respectively.

Yorkshire lost five wickets during the afternoon session.

Captain Gary Ballance was caught behind two balls after lunch off Toby Roland-Jones for 19, leaving the score 52-4 in the 21st over.

Peter Handscomb (21) slapped Steven Finn to point ten overs later before Andrew Hodd (15) and Adil Rashid (35) fell in the 39th and 40th overs as the score slumped to 111-7.

Hodd was bowled by off-spinner Ollie Rayner and Rashid was caught behind off home skipper James Franklin.

Jack Brooks (12) later lofted Rayner to mid-on to leave Yorkshire at 130-8 in the 51st over.
