TOM Kohler-Cadmore wasted little time sending out a message to both the Hunters' ECB Yorkshire Premier League North and his new employers Yorkshire County Cricket Club that he means business.

In just his second appearance since signing for Driffield Town, he broke the league's individual batting record, scoring an unbeaten 191 off only 150 balls against Woodhouse Grange.

The innings contained 22 fours and nine sixes and beat the 178 made by Harry Brook for Yorkshire Academy against the same opponents earlier in the season.

The record-breaking knock set up a 56-run victory for the visitors at Sandhill Lane.

A partnership of 109 for the third wicket with Sam Drury (40) helped them reach 302-6 but they were unable to claim maximum points as Grange struck back through Tom Young (89) and Mike Burdett (53), who shared a century partnership of their own before Steve Burdett (30no) ensured the hosts came away with a couple of points, finishing on 246-6.

Yorkshire Academy lost a home league game for the first time since August 2015, but fought all the way to protect that proud record before going down to defeat by just four runs against Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Visiting skipper Russ Robinson produced the stand-out innings of the match with an unbeaten 49 in a total of 163-8.

His opposite number Jordan Thompson replied with 33 but Freddie Collins picked up 4-44 as the hosts were bowled out for 159 with one ball of the match remaining.

The result at Weetwood gives leaders York a little bit of breathing space at the top after they recorded a nine-wicket win against Acomb at Shipton Road.

Tom Pringle finished with 5-17 from six overs as the visitors lost their last five wickets for 23 runs after Jack Spence had top-scored with 37.

Duncan Snell (51) and Jack Leaning (51no) then wasted little time setting about a victory target of 134, which was reached in the 17th over.

Harrogate leapfrogged the Academy into second place, five points behind the leaders, but were indebted to Harry Stothard (133no), whose unbeaten century helped to rescue them from 76-5 against Clifton Alliance at St George's Road.

They eventually reached 280-9, with Will Topham (33) and David Foster (31) providing support as David Friend (4-77) and Dominic Snook (3-31) shared seven wickets.

Australian import Jack Beath (53) made a half-century in response but the visitors lost their last six wickets for 48, with spinners David Foster (4-19) and George Ross (4-54) doing most of the damage.

Easingwold's Aubrey Towler struck a defiant 73 against Stamford Bridge but could not inspire the league's bottom side after they had slumped to 46-5, eventually being bowled out for 148, with Donovan Sinclair (3-22) and Matt Beckett (3-19) among the wickets.

The result was never in doubt after Sam (32) and Mark (69no) Tennant shared an opening stand of 76, Josh Cooper rounding off an eight-wicket win with an unbeaten 38.

Hull remain alongside Easingwold in the relegation places after they lost to east-coast rivals Scarborough by seven wickets at North Marine Road.

Tom Appleyard top-scored for the visitors with 42 but it was the hosts' bowlers who dominated, the league's leading wicket taker Ben Elvidge claiming 3-46, with Elliot Cooper (3-20) and Kristian Wilkinson (3-45) also chipping in.

Needing 175 for victory, any concerns were soon dispelled as skipper Neil Elvidge (80) and Oliver Stephenson (74) scored 160 of them in a second-wicket partnership.
