YORK boxer Danny Holmes will be looking to take another step up the professional ladder when he fights Gloucester's Andy Harris at the Energise Leisure Centre next month.
Light-welterweight Holmes, nicknamed 'The Tazmanian Devil', is unbeaten so far in five professional fights.
Harris, 34, has lost 46 of his 50 professional fights, yet appeared on the bill at the O2 Arena in London three years ago - losing to Ohara Davies on the night Anthony Joshua won the WBC International Heavyweight title.
The pair will lock horns over eight three-minute rounds for the British Challenge belt title.
Trainer Glenn Banks said: "It is a step up for Danny, who has been boxing only four three-minute rounds, but he's ready for it and is training very hard."
The contest will be the highlight of a seven fight show dubbed 'The Next Chapter' which is being co-promoted by Banks and Newark's Carl Greaves.
The bill will also feature Harry 'The Pocklington Rocket' Matthews against Leeds' Sean Hare.
Other fights will feature York's Louis Claridge, Scarborough's George Rhodes, plus Jamie Scotter, Reece Cartwright and Zahid Hussain.
Tickets for the show cost £35 standard or £40 ringside. The event is sponsored by J&G Engineering Contractors, MKM Building Supplies, Westfield Construction, and JG Windows Doors & Conservatories.
