LOSEQUEST have completed a York College Football Mundial Monday Night Six-A-Side League double for the second time.

The team repeated their 2015 achievement by following up their premier division title-winning campaign with cup finals’ night success, lifting that trophy for a fourth time in five years.

Dunnington skipper Josh Tattersall was the star performer in the cup, scoring five of his team’s goals as Losequest overcame Real Sosobad (3-1) in the last eight, Le Saux Solid Crew (2-0) in the semis and It Doesn’t Mata (3-0) in the final.

Tattersall bagged a brace against league runners-up Mata before Michael Long put the game beyond doubt.

Keeper Liam Wright, meanwhile, kept the opposition at bay on his way to conceding just once in more than an hour of football, whilst Adam Dyson rattled the frame of the goal and Fraser Henderson forced a fine late save.

Earlier, leading marksman and 43-year-old veteran Dave Flett scored his 21st goal of the season to break the deadlock against So Solid before Tattersall joined him on the scoresheet.

In the quarters, another Tattersall double and a strike from former Selby Town midfielder Tom Matthews saw the champions come back after trailing to an early goal.

The cup win was achieved without the injured Andy Cox and Tony Kelly, while Dave Adams, Steve Carroll and Josh Luckhurst were all unavailable.

Losequest, who also won the Huntington School Monday Night League title before switching venues, rattled off victories in their last six games to finish top of the York College league standings and their cup finals’ night triumphs mean they boast a nine-game, 100 per cent record stretching back to mid-February.
