SIMON Webb continued his outstanding early-season form with an unbeaten century as Whitkirk won at Pickering by three wickets in the Hunters York & District Senior League Premier Division.

He more than doubled last week's effort of 70 against Malton & Old Malton, finishing 149 not out in a total of 249-7. That came in reply to the home side's 248-7, which featured 86 from Dave Greenlay and a second consecutive half-century from Colin Frank (50), while James Malthouse was the pick of the bowlers with 4-61.

A century from Mark Wilkie (114) set Sessay on the way to maintaining their winning start to the season as they scored 236-6 at home to Bolton Percy, for whom Danny White took 3-57.

The visitors were unable to hold out, losing their last wicket in the final over, with Ed Noble having made 80 of their 191, with Liam Carver taking 3-28.

Dunnington's Adam Sutcliffe (119) was another batsman to reach three figures as the hosts inflicted a heavy defeat on York.

Ben Robinson (43) and Matthew Bell (40) passed 40 for the visitors but they were held in check by Dave Brent (4-79), finishing on 197-8.

Harrison Mussell (65) complimented Sutcliffe's effort with a half-century of his own as victory was achieved for the loss of just two wickets.

Beverley Town left it late to make it two wins from three as their match with Malton & Old Malton went to the final over.

Andy Burton (44no) was there at the end to see the hosts over the line with four wickets in hand, Michael Linsley having picked up 4-43 for the visitors.

Greg Whyley had earlier restricted Malton & Old Malton, who remain in search of their first win, to 188-9, despite 65 from Stephen Linsley and 40 from Shaun Harland.

Castleford recorded back-to-back victories as they continue the challenge of trying to regain their Premier League status.

David Young (3-29) and Eddie Morrison (4-17) made short work of bowling out hosts Goole Town for 105 before David Wainwright (31) led the response, which took a little over 26 overs to reach its goal.
