CAROLINE Whittaker closed on a two dart 70 and Sarah Jackson hit 140, 100 as Burnholme fought back to beat Leeman 'B' in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League first division.

Julie Oliver had won the opener to give Leeman the lead but Marj Pearson secured match points for Burnholme.

Oliver/Louise Warren and Maggie Bedingham/Brenda Dawe added to Leeman's points tally.

Bev Harton and Tracey Farmeary both won singles points for Tramways but it was visitors Fulfordgate who won the overall match.

Cara and Michelle Britton, Lynn Thompson, and Jill Reed were the winners for Fulfordgate. Michelle Britton linked up with Alex Exton to secure match points before Cara Britton/Dawn Exton added a point. Lauren Farmeary joined mother Tracey to register a consolation point for Tramways.

Amanda Bevan and Donna Lynes gave Edinburgh an early lead against Severus 'A' before Steph Barker put the visitors on the scoresheet. Jan Netherwood restored the home side's advantage before Davina Shannon and Glyniss Simpson levelled. But Bevan/Lynes edged Edinburgh in front and Netherwood/Emma Frankland sealed victory.

Priory had victory in their pockets within the singles against Marcia thanks to Pat Cairns, Di Moreland, Babs Harrison, Becky Thompson and Ellen Platt.

Joan Hunter was Marcia’s only singles success. Linda Penrose/Anne Cornthwaite and Hunter/Faye Hawksby narrowed the winning margin.

Burton Stone are riding high in division two with two good wins under their belts.

Captain Linda Embleton led from the front - supported by Susan Barker, Sandra Pallister, Sheila Harrison and match winner Katrina Thackeray.

Jackie Young broke Shoulder 'B's duck and colleagues Sandra Flintoft/Carol Price doubled their points,

Severus 'B' are following on from last season with their form.

Sarah Evans had given visitors Clifton the lead however Sharon Mountain started Sev’s winning surge, Angie Kaya, Michelle Kelly, Wendy Storr and mother Dot Sellars secured the points. Kelly/Storr added another win before sister Linda/Cris Turgoose and Angela Fletcher/Emma Standing narrowed the winning margin with points for Clifton.

Saddle were well and truly 'unseated' as visitors Leeman 'A' took home a 7-2 win. Janet Nelson, Jackie Gray, Charlotte Witts and Margaret Yeomans served Leeman well and a clean sweep in the pairs added to the joy.
