YORK Amateur Boxing Club young gun Cam Shaw won a gold medal at the prestigious Hivdovre Box Cup in Denmark to round off a superb month - and earn high praise from his trainer.
Show, who has boxed four times in March, fought twice in two days in Denmark to earn his success in the 60kg division.
In the semi-finals, he saw off a Danish-based Iranian in a very tough bout, coming through on points.
Then in the final, he swept aside a 28-year-old Mongolian fighter in some style.
York ABC head coach Billy Wilson said: "With his confidence high from the semi-final, he looked stunning and put on a boxing masterclass to win the bout 5-0 on the scorecards.
"This ends a brilliant month for Cam and York ABC. He has been training twice a day and really putting the hard word in, which has certainly paid off.
"Cam had been with us his whole career and, watching what he has become, I could not be more proud of him. He is a credit to me, the gym and our sport."
