TADCASTER Albion manager Billy Miller insists his side are in a false position at the lower end of Evo-Stik First Division North.

The Brewers visit Brighouse Town tomorrow buoyed by a 4-3 victory over Trafford in midweek that ended a sequence of three consecutive defeats.

With eight games to play, they are now 10 points clear of the relegation zone but Millers thinks the table does not truly reflect his team’s performances this season.

“We missed a few games and we are a couple of games behind everyone so we have sort of been dragged towards the bottom there,” he said. “I don’t think we deserve to be anywhere near that, certainly not with some of the football we have played this year.”

Ironically, Miller felt the Brewers had produced one of their worst displays for two months before they embarked on a dramatic fightback against Trafford on Tuesday night.

Trailing 2-0 with only 20 minutes play, the game was turned on its head when Carl Stewart (2) and Gregg Anderson struck three times in the space of nine minutes.

Mark Derbyshire equalised for Trafford with seven minutes to go before Joshua Greening grabbed a last minute winner for the Brewers.

Commenting on his side’s recovery, Miller said: “It was absolutely outstanding and we needed it. To return four goals, having not scored for a few games, was phenomenal.

“We had said that this month was going to be really, really hard and we accepted that,” he added. “We have got to play some of the better teams in the league who are right up there, still in it, fighting for it.

“But we have two games in hand on a couple of teams - and we have got to make sure we pick up a couple of wins.”

Portuguese winger Erico Sousa, who spent a short spell with the Brewers in January, has joined National League promotion-chasers Tranmere Rovers until the end of the season.

Sousa, 22, made three appearances for the Brewers before joining League Two side Accrington Stanley on February 13.

Scarborough Athletic chairman Trevor Bull has confirmed that everything is firmly on track for the club’s return home.

Since the folding of the former club a decade ago, Scarborough have lodged at Bridlington Town’s Queensgate Ground.

But a 3G pitch is ready to be installed at the club’s new ground which is located at the Scarborough Leisure Village in Weaponness.

Tickets details have also been released this week for the club’s first home game at the new stadium on Saturday July 15.

“Things are on track but there is still a lot to do,” said Bull who has replaced the late David Holland as chairman.

Manager Steve Kittrick has been looking to strengthen his squad ahead of Saturday’s home clash with fourth-placed Glossop North End.

Scarborough are currently six points adrift of the play-off zone with seven games to play.

Glossop are one of the division’s form teams having lost just once in their last six games.
