DRINGHOUSES secured a tenth consecutive victory to move into second place in the York Minster Engineering League premier division.

First half goals from Liam Robertson (2) and Sam Ripley-Kitson left opponents York RI with a mountain to climb and, although Craig Atkinson reduced the deficit, Dringhouses won 3-1.

After an indifferent start to the season, ‘Houses young side have now found their feet and this latest win delivered a timely warning against complacency to table-toppers Wigginton Grasshoppers who are currently 10 points clear.

Former leaders Huntington Rovers have now dropped to third after drawing their second consecutive game away at Church Fenton White Horse.

After an even but goalless first half, Rovers took the lead through Joe Milner.

The visitors then missed several chances to increase their lead before the home side scored a deserved equaliser.

Wigginton maintained their momentum with a 4-0 win at Copmanthorpe.

Jamie Willstrop rounded Ben Sheehan to open the scoring after 10 minutes. Neale Holmes fed Gary Newton on the half-hour mark, and the midfielder made no mistake firing a low shot into the corner of the net.

An own goal, six minutes into the second period, made it 3-0 to Hoppers before a Newton penalty rounded off a comfortable victory.

Dunnington moved into fourth spot after a 3-2 triumph over Tadcaster Magnets.

Will Pepper, Alex Wilson and Pilly Gabutzi struck for the home side.

Old Malton St Marys defeated Sporting Knavesmire. The visitors led 2-0 at the interval but Knavesmire stormed back through Danny Owers before a missed penalty cost them the chance of a point late in the game.

Osbaldwick took an early lead at home to F1 Racing via Danny Penrose. Despite poor conditions, both sides continued to battle it out and Chris Dempsey chipped the ball over Osbaldwick goalkeeper Tom Young to level the scores.

In the latter stages, Harry Sheppeard was fouled in the penalty area and Chris Bilton converted from the spot to seal a narrow 2-1 home win.
