Melbourne snooker player Ashley Hugill beat Pickering's Paul Davison this afternoon in the first round of the Coral Shoot Out at Watford Colosseum.
The ranking tournament, which is being televised on ITV4, involves 128 players over four days.
All matches last a maximum of ten minutes, with a shot clock of 15 seconds for the first five minutes and 10 seconds for the last five.
Hugill, 22, beat Davison who is currently ranked 90th in the world, 66-32 in the one frame match.
