TICKETS are still available for the latest night of boxing at Henry’s Gym on Saturday.
The Acomb-based club, run by York’s former world-title contender Henry Wharton, enjoyed a 100 per cent record from their last card of eight fights at the Regent Building in York Road – an achievement they are now hoping to emulate.
Admission for the event, sponsored by Empire Tapes, costs £15 for adults and £7 for children, with doors opening at 7pm and the action starting an hour later.
Tickets can be reserved by calling 07543 636542.
Following the thrilling visit of boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, meanwhile, Panamanian multiple world champion Roberto Duran is the next star guest scheduled to visit Henry’s Gym on Sunday, May 7 at noon.
Standard tickets cost £40, with VIP tickets £10 more and including premium seating, as well as a photograph with Duran.
To reserve a seat or table, phone 07543 636424 or 07912 983671.
