CHRIS Jones scored two tries as York RI secured a 27-22 victory over Yorkshire Four rivals Ossett.
Baptiste Brui opened RI’s account with a penalty but Ossett took the lead when their speedy winger scored in the corner.
Jones restored RI’s lead and Brui added the extras.
Francky Rossi charged 40 metres up field to give RI a 15-5 lead then set up Dan Coates for the third try.
Ossett pulled back to 20-10 before Jones picked the ball up in his own 22 and beat man-after-man to score under the posts. Brui converted.
The visitors scored two tries before the end and both sides claimed a bonus point.
