DUBAI Angel has done very little wrong in his short career and is fancied to secure a third victory in the sunbets.co.uk National Hunt Novices' Hurdle at Newcastle.

The Malcolm Jefferson-trained six-year-old was second in successive bumpers last season and completed the hat-trick of runner-up finishes on his return from almost a year off at Southwell in October.

He went one better in fairly spectacular style at Carlisle and as a result, was a hot favourite for his hurdling debut at Newcastle.

While odds-on backers had their fingers burnt, with Dubai Angel finding Alan King's Elgin too strong, hindsight tells us that was actually a sterling effort and Jefferson's charge had no trouble making the most of what appeared a gilt-edged opportunity at Sedgefield next time.

He has a winner's penalty to carry now, but should be up to the task and can follow up before being stepped up in grade in the spring.

Casual Cavalier can hit the bullseye in the Falcon Management Chase.

George Bewley's inmate has a likeable profile overall, having finished in the first four on his last eight starts.

The nine-year-old absolutely bolted up at Ayr at the start of the month, his second win over fences, and he can go in again.

The Bay Oak can continue his progression in the Stella Artois Cidre Novices' Hurdle at Bangor.

The gelded son of Vinnie Roe has presumably had his problems as he did not see a racecourse until hitting the point-to-point circuit as a six-year-old a couple of years ago.

A victory in that field last March saw him snapped up for the relatively modest fee of £16,000 and he made his debut under Rules for Dan Skelton in November.

He made a promising start with a runner-up finish at Sedgefield and soon went one better on his return to County Durham a few weeks later.

Skelton's charge has continued in the same vein since, running well in defeat at Chepstow before adding to his tally at Catterick on New Year's Day and this looks a good opportunity for him to record another novice win before heading down the handicap route.

He could make up into a useful staying chaser in time if kept in one piece.

Dazacam can continue her fantastic run of form in the 32Red.com Handicap at Wolverhampton.

The three-year-old was rated just 57 when striking gold for the first time over this course and distance in November and is now almost 30lb higher in the weights having since won at Newcastle, Chelmsford and back here at Dunstall Park a week and a half ago.

The handicapper is bound to catch up with her before too long, but the way she won with something to spare here last time suggested she is capable of scoring again off her revised mark of 86.

Snobbery looked smart when winning here in December before running too badly to be true at Lingfield.

A return to the Tapeta may rekindle his enthusiasm in the Betway Handicap.
