MALT Shovel moved three points clear at the top of the Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League Division One after a comfortable 7-1 victory over Marcia Bishopthorpe.

Marcia scored their only goal in the first half with Malt Shovel scoring 3 in the first half. Malt Shovel scored a further 4 goals to take the 3 points and another big score to help with their impressive goal difference. The game's top goal scorer was Gary Collier with 4 goals, Luke Durham, Josh Brigham and Josh O’Neill also scored for the winners.

The game between York Nomads Society and NUR finished 4-1 to the Nomads, despite the win the victors could have won by a fairly big margin if it wasn’t for Jamie Ward NUR’s goalkeeper who had an impressive performance. The goals for York Nomads came with a brace from Calum Ward, Ryan O’Reilly and Liam Flanagan also netted. Gary Stephenson scored the only goal for the away side.

Fourth place Bubwith White Swan won a hard fought game against Cliffe coming away with a 6-4 score line and all 3 points. Bubwith’s scorers were Jason Crisp, Leon Wood, Liam Bell, Cohen Vause, Sam Milner and Ben Olson. Cliffe’s scorers were Tom Hogg, Dan Collins, Tom Collins and Kieran Dinsdale.

In Division 2 league leaders Selby Olympia stumbled again after losing their 100% record and could only earn a point against Haxby United. Haxby had a 2-1 lead at half time but Selby fought back with both teams scoring in the second half. Tom Lazenby scored a brace, John Cox and Christopher Thompson scored for Selby. Billy Lindsell scored a brace for Haxby as well as Jonny Jackson and Rich Wishart scoring for the away side.

Second place Hambleton hammered home a 1-0 win over Knapton Lions to help their cause to catch up to top of the table.

York Medics climbed up 2 places with a second successive victory by beating Rawcliffe Crusaders 4-2. York Medics’ goals came from Greg Chambers and Alex Renwick both bagging braces.

Elmpark won a close game against Bramham 2-1. Ellis Turpine scored a goal in both halves for the home side to earn his team 3 points. Josh Wilson scored Bramham’s only goal
