BURNHOLME Club closed the gap on leaders Fulfordgate to six points after victory over Marcia in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League.

Sharon Neads kick-started the win with a 25 dart leg followed by wins for colleagues Caroline Whittaker, Jane Dobson, Sarah Jackson (180) and Lynne Wilstrop.

Sharon Rishworth put Marcia on the scoresheet but, with the match points already in the bag, Neads/Jackson and Willstrop/Jean West added to the winning margin before Rishworth linked up with captain Faye Hawksby to double the points.

Fulfordgate had no fixture.

Tramways took a 4-2 lead at the Priory thanks to Tracey Farmeary and daughter Lauren joined by Tina Platt and Bev Harton.

Ellen Platt and Becky Thompson won points for the home side and a magnificent fightback kept Priory in contention.

Sisters Clair Cooper/Jane Wright and Thompson/Di Moreland set up a decider which saw Babs Harrison join Ellen Platt to snatch victory.

Shoulder 'A' were indebted to their final pairing of Wendy Shortle/Danni Laycock who secured match points after singles wins from Laycock, Sandra Bruce, and Anne Bass against visitors Edinburgh who had kept the pace thanks to Amanda Bevan, Jan Netherwood, and Anthea Jamieson.

Bass/Sue Tate nudged Shoulder in front before Bevan and captain Chris Lamb levelled to set up the decider.

Severus 'B' enjoyed an 8-3 victory over Severus 'A' and leap-frogged them to take over at the top of the division two table.

Michelle Kelly and Sharon Mountain started the ball rolling for the 'B' team, Sue Clark replied. Sue Gillan restored the advantage before Carol Robson and Jackie Simpson levelled.

The 'B' team came on strong in the pairs. Mountain/Gillan, Kelly/Angie Kaya, Wendy Storr/Dot Sellars completed the rout.

Burton Stone and Leman ‘A’ were all square entering the pairs. Jackie Gray/Dawn Clarke edged the visitors in front and colleagues Debbie Witts/Denise Pittock sealed victory.

Clockhouse raced into a 3-0 advantage against Clifton; Rose Gray, Kate and Sarah Rankeillor scoring. Clifton had Sarah Evans, Cris and Linda Turgoose levelling. Cris Turgoose then combined with Evans and sister Linda was joined by Angela Fletcher to seal victory despite being a player down.

Nags made home advantage count with a 6-3 win against visitors Shoulder 'B'.
