ACOMB Ladies maintained their 100 per cent winning record in Yorkshire division two with a hard earned 2-0 win away at Pudsey.
The Tangerines had the majority of possession in the first half but chances went astray and it was good keeping by Stephanie Barker that prevented Pudsey taking the lead at the break.
Acomb kept pressing with Vick Wrigley and Becky Flower working hard on the flanks and Georgi Wood foraging forward from midfield.
After 15 minutes, Jenna Allinson slipped the ball to skipper Kerry Woods whose first time reverse strike flew past the home keeper.
Jane Elsworth and Sam Storr swept up when the home side attacked and ensured a clean sheet for the Tangerines.
The lead was doubled with 10 minutes remaining when Wood dribbled into the circle and her cross found Allinson who netted from close range. The Tangerines remain top of the division as the mid-term break is taken next week.
Acomb’s men had no fixtures at the weekend due to their mid-term break.
