YORK's V2 world champion Scott Snowdon helped England win the first VX European Championship in Bilbao.
Developed in North Yorkshire over a decade ago, V2 is the singles version of the team game VX, formerly known as Rock-It-Ball.
England defeated Italy and the Basque Country to lift the title.
Snowdon, who lives in Shipton-by-Beningbrough, also took part in the V2 event for England with Tom Hildreth and James Foster.
After victories in their respective quarterfinals, Snowdon beat Foster 98-66 in the semifinal but lost to Hildreth 99-86 in the final.
