CHURCH Fenton White Horse surrendered the York Minster Engineering League premier division’s only remaining unbeaten record following a 1-1 draw at F1 Racing.

Chris Dempsey put the hosts in front before Fenton levelled in the second period.

Thorpe United, meanwhile, moved to the top of the early first division standings after Nathan Parker bagged all of the goals in a 4-0 defeat of Rawcliffe.

Josh Butler opened the scoring after 12 minutes for Kirkbymoorside against Poppleton United after pouncing on a clearance.

A minute later, Chris Rhodes doubled the Moorsiders’ advantage after tapping in when a free-kick was parried out to him.

It was then 3-0 on 17 minutes as Jack Chadwick lobbed United’s keeper after latching on to a long kick from Adam Magson - his team-mate between the sticks.

A Joe Dale header before the break reduced the deficit to 3-1 but that’s how the score remained.

In division four, Steve Frost replied twice for Malt Shovel in an 8-2 battering against leaders St Clements.

Mark Scoreby (2), Will Adamson (2), Danny King, Matthew Horner, Matthew Stables and Eddie Stephenson were all on target for the visitors.

Bubwith White Swan lie second after goals from Henry Robinson, Andy Stone and Jamie Pick earned them a 3-0 win at Wheldrake.

In Reserve A, Dringhouses went down 4-3 to Church Fenton White Rose despite consolations from Alex Day (two) and Tom Hawksby.

Riccall were 7-3 Reserve B victors against Heslington thanks to Joe Lock (2), Gary Chapman (2), Danny Rodwell, Liam Deller and Jack Rowley. Russell Carr, Lee Topping and an own goal were responsible for the Heslington replies.
