DESPITE the whole of the league fixture list being destroyed due to rain, a number of the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League divisions were won, promotions were gained, and relegations decided upon the points gained due to abandoned fixtures.

Both Galtres and Ebor division twos will go to the last week, however.

At the bottom end of Galtres division two, both Easingwold and Wetherby have been relegated, whilst Hovingham do have a very slim chance of survival if results elsewhere go their way.

It’s more clear-cut in Ebor’s second division where the bottom three of Heworth II, Malton & Old Malton II, and Clifton Alliance II have now all been relegated.

In Galtres division three, congratulations go to both divisional winners New Earswick, and runners-up Stillington who will both move up to Galtres division two next term.

At the foot of the table, Civil Service II, Dringhouses II, and Heworth III have now all had their relegations confirmed.

Stamford Bridge II have won Ebor division three, whilst second placed Dunnington II lead third placed Whitkirk II by just 10 points, so must wait until the final week to see which of them clinches the final promotion spot.

Down at the other end of the table, Pocklington II and Selby II will drop down a division, whilst Castleford II are almost certain to stay up, but must wait upon results from elsewhere.

In Galtres division four, honours go to Osbaldwick II who have gained promotion along with New Earswick II who will go up following Hovingham II’s request to remain in the same division next season.

In Ebor division four, both Drax and North Duffield have gained promotion, but must wait until next weekend to see which one of them wins the division.
