MALTON won the Batagas Bowls League finishing just five points ahead of Slingsby.

Wigginton were third, 15 points further back.
Wigginton, meanwhile, edged a very tight Tockwith League Cup final against Shipton 51-48 to lift the trophy.
With Tony Baker's and Brian Hutton's rinks winning 20-16 and 16-14 respectively, all depended on Colin Ellis' rink, who were trailing Brian Gray 18-12 after 17 ends, the aggregate scores being tied going into the final end.
Ellis' crucially rink picked up three shots on the final end which meant they lost 18-15 but their side took the trophy.
