Dunnington remain second, mum and daughter Karen and Jess Mitchell teaming up to claim 27 games in their demolition of David Lloyd.

Bottom club Starbeck put up a good fight against Poppleton, before losing out 58-50. Bishopthorpe were again indebted to Ellie Page and Laura Rhodes who bagged 29 games in their 57-51 victory against York 2, a result which may ensure they stay up.

Fulford 1 are assured of promotion from division two after their 69-39 triumph over Wigginton.

Rufforth’s good run sees them enter the race for the second promotion slot, Denise Reilly and Sarah Skidmore contributing 29 games in their victory at Dunnington.

A depleted Castlegarth suffered a heavy loss at Boston Spa, while Cliffe’s defeat at Pocklington confirms their relegation.

Things remain tight at the top of division three.

Emma and Jill Abel scored 26 games in Castlegarth’s 57-51 win against bottom club Tollerton which keeps the Wetherby club top, a point ahead of Wistow, whose 67-41 win at Knareborough included a 26-game haul from Lisa Hunter and Ali Wortley.

Third-placed Copmanthorpe kept in touch by beating Appleton, while consistent scores from all three couples saw Rowntree Park defeat Fulford.

David Lloyd and Bubwith will be promoted from division four.

The former had a straightforward win at Boston Spa, Fiona White and Dinah Burke contributing 26 games. Bubwith lost ground as they fought out a draw with Dunnington.

Poppleton and New Earswick recorded 55-53 wins against Riccall and Sutton respectively, leaving things close at the bottom, though Riccall appear almost safe.

Division five saw Bev Tebbutt and Chris Oldfield make a rare appearance in the ladies league for Wilberfoss - racking up 27 games in their narrow defeat of Bishopthorpe.

Leaders Heworth fell to a surprise 55-53 defeat against Cawood.

Wigginton 2 stay in the chase after a 62-46 win over Knaresborough, whose relegation is now confirmed.

Division six's top two, David Lloyd and Fulford, clashed, with positive scores from all three Fulford couples leading them to a 62-46 victory. Both teams look likely to go up.

Appleton crashed to Sheriff Hutton so remain in trouble. Dunnington’s 61-47 win over Poppleton boosted their bid to stay up.

Bubwith remain top of division seven despite losing 58-5o to David Lloyd.
