DIRECTORS Dave Baldwin and Neil Jennings have resigned from the board at York City Knights in the immediate wake of the club's decision to close down.
Baldwin and Jennings first joined the board 17 months ago alongside Stephen Knowles and Gary Dickenson, with the remit to take over community stadium negotiations from under-fire owner John Guildford and get the then homeless club back into the City of York Council project.
Dickenson left two and a half months later, while Knowles quit the board in April this year.
Baldwin said: "I can confirm myself and Neil Jennings have officially resigned from the board of directors at York City Knights with immediate effect.
"We do not wish to make any further comment at this stage."
The Kingstone Press League One club released a statement last night confirming their intention to close down.
The team, under head coach James Ford, had been going for promotion.
The remaining registered directors are Guildford and Sarah Guildford.
