ASHLEY CATTLE and Jason Nattrass shared a stand of 110 to ensure Yapham celebrated the unveiling of their new clubhouse in style.

The pair's efforts saw the hosts enjoy a ten-wicket win over Acomb II in the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League on a day when all three of the club's senior teams won on the same day for a first time ever, with the seconds defeating Burn II and the thirds overcoming Dunnington, both in the York Vale League.

More than 100 people attended a barbecue that celebrated the beginning of the next phase in the development of a club that has been playing since 1910.

The clubhouse was opened officially by Paul Harrand - the chairman of the York & District Senior League.

It replaces the much-loved but tiny facility that had been in place since 1947.

Work on the new building started in January 2015 and it has been in use since the start of this season.
