YORK City boss Jackie McNamara is auctioning off the chance to become his assistant-manager for the pre-season friendly against Doncaster on Tuesday, July 26.
A bid of £150 has already been received for the privilege, which will see the temporary addition to City's backroom staff kitted out in assistant clothing and take part in the whole pre-match build-up to the game.
The person standing in for McNamara's normal number two Simon Donnelly will also issue the final preparations and instructions before taking the players out on to the pitch and sitting alongside the City chief for the match.
There will then follow an after-match debrief and discussions with the squad, whilst a certificate will be presented in recognition of the assistant managerial stint.
Bids can be sent by email, entitled Assistant Manager for a Game, to ycfcgolf@gmail.com
All bids will be acknowledged and contact made if you have been outbid to enable you to increase your amount.
The closing date for all bids, meanwhile, will be 10pm on Wednesday, July 20.
