SIMON Dyson included a quadruple bogey during a rollercoaster first round at the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth.

The Malton & Norton Golf Club ace carded a five-over par 77 in the European Tour event with the biggest hiccup his nine on the 531-yard, 12th hole.

Earlier, Dyson had gone through the front nine in 38 with three bogies.

He then birdied the par-three tenth before unravelling on the 12th.

Some respectability was restored, however, with further birdies on the 16th and 17th.

Harrogate’s John Parry, meanwhile, ended the day with a two-over round of 74.

He completed the front nine in par with two birdies cancelling out as many bogies.

Further bogies on the 15th and 16th, though, also left Parry well adrift of the leading pack in Surrey.
