FORMER Guernsey national team manager Kev Graham is targeting the 2016/17 Humber Premier League title after being confirmed as Pocklington Town's new boss.

Graham is returning to The Balk, having previously spent two years as the club's under-19 development squad manager, when he helped nurture several players who helped the club finish third in the league last term.

The former Guernsey international played in the past for Whitby Town, Guiseley, Selby Town and Goole, where he has been working as their development squad manager and had a stint as caretaker first-team chief.

Former Brigg Town and Hall Road Rangers manager Andy Foster, who works for the FA as a national coach developer, will also be joining Graham as Town's first team coach.

Graham is now looking forward to building on the good work of Rich Bower during his seven-year tenure at the helm, adding: "I have worked with many of the players who have had such a strong season under Rich already, so this is not a completely new start for myself or many of the players. I'm lucky to inherit a good group and I'm also very pleased to be bringing Andy Foster in with me.

"The club has made great progress with Rich and the likes of Joe Cooney and Rob Kunkel have done a great job improving performances too. The facilities at the club are as good as any in non-League football and I'm very confident we can keep moving things forward and achieve some success. In fact, I'm determined that we do that".

Second-team manager Kunkel will continue in that role, having helped the team finish their campaign as York Minster Engineering League first division and York FA Senior Cup final runners-up.
