CYMRO can give local trainer Tom Dascombe a big-race victory in the Boodles Diamond Ormonde Stakes, one of the feature events on the final day of Chester's May meeting.

Dartmouth is likely to be all the rage for this Group Three event following a clear-cut victory in a similar heat at Chelmsford last month, where he looked particularly impressive.

He is the one they all have to beat on the ratings but Cymro certainly merits close inspection as he looks a similarly progressive type and should be available at more of a working man's price.

The four-year-old has already shown he can handle the Chester track when seeing off a 1-6 Aidan O'Brien-trained favourite at this meeting last year before going on to run in some big handicap heats, including two victories at Haydock.

He rounded off last term with third place in a richly-endowed Newbury heat before opening up this campaign with a cosy handicap win off top weight at Thirsk last month.

Obviously it is a bit of a leap to Group Three level – but Cymro has made virtually relentless progress since starting last year on a mark of 79 and he remains unexposed over this kind of trip, so he could well spring a surprise. Richard Kingscote rides today's nap selection.

Housesofparliament had appeared unsuited by heavy ground previously, so a decent surface here should be to his liking, while he is already proven over 10 furlongs. Seamie Heffernan takes the ride.

Dr Marwan Koukash always enjoys a winner at Chester and GABRIAL'S KAKA can do the business in his colours in the opening Crabbie's Earl Grosvenor Handicap.

He won the Spring Cup at Chelmsford and, while he could not follow up at Haydock, it would be dangerous to rule him out here under George Chaloner.

ATLANTIC SUN can kick off his 2016 campaign in the best possible way in the AGV Handicap at Ascot.

He impressed when winning at Ffos Las last September but then had to settle for second when upped to conditions company at Newmarket in October.

The winner of that race had previously only been beaten just over a length by Galileo Gold and the value of that form is now there for all to see.

DUKE OF FIRENZE can arrest a long losing streak in the H G Buck One, Two, Sixer Handicap at Lingfield, while ICE SLICE can make it a hat-trick in the Racing UK In HD Now! Handicap at Nottingham.

INVICTUS can strike for Micky Hammond in Ripon's SIS Infinite Racing Games Handicap, with DARK DIAMOND ready to build on his recent second in the Racing UK Now In HD! Intermediate Hurdle at Market Rasen.
