PROP star Jack Aldous will hit a notable milestone for York City Knights this weekend - by racking up a century of appearances in only his fourth full season at the club.

The 24-year-old two-time Press Player of the Year is poised to hit the 100 mark in the clash at League One play-off rivals North Wales Crusaders on Sunday (2.30pm).

Aldous, nicknamed "Mr Duracell" for his ability to get through long stints in the team's engine room, played three games for the Knights in 2011 on loan from Hull's academy before joining the club permanently at the end of that year.

He went on to win two Player of the Month gongs en route to lifting The Press Player of the Year award in 2012, and he followed with two more monthly accolades in 2013. He won the Player of the Year award for a second time last year to cement his place in club folklore.

In all, since the joining the club permanently, Aldous has missed only eight matches in four seasons - a pretty remarkable run for a front-rower.

He played 23 of the team's 24 games in 2012, 26 of 30 in 2013, and 22 of 24 last year. He has made 25 appearances this year, sitting out only one match.
