FORMER York City goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik will he hoping to keep Exeter's first clean sheet since Easter Monday when he faces his old club tomorrow.

Olejnik, who made 16 appearances for the Minstermen on loan from Peterborough last season, made the permanent switch from London Road to the Grecians over the summer and has conceded nine goals during his first four outings.

Having also ended last season shipping ten goals in their last five fixtures, Exeter have not managed a shut-out since beating Newport 2-0 in last April's bank holiday encounter.

Olejnik was one of five summer signings made by long-serving boss Paul Tisdale with Lee Holmes, Emmanuel Oyeleke, Troy Brown and Will Hoskins recruited from Preston, Brentford, Cheltenham and Oxford respectively.

All are expected to feature against the Minstermen but ex-Lewes forward David Wheeler - the Devon club's two-goal top scorer just four games into the new campaign - could miss out again after an ankle injury meant he was absent for Tuesday night's 2-1 victory at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Tisdale is also currently nursing several players who missed large chunks of pre-season back to full fitness and using them sparingly during a punishing opening month.

Following tomorrow's game, the St James Park outfit face a 370-mile trip to meet Premier League Sunderland in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

Unlike Russ Wilcox's men, who have received a bye from the first round of the competition, Exeter will also play a fourth consecutive midweek fixture when they host Portsmouth in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy three days after a Sky Bet League Two trip to AFC Wimbledon.

Tisdale is, therefore , treading carefully with experienced duo Matt Oakley and David Noble, who are 38 and 33 respectively.

The latter missed the final three months of the season with a torn hamstring and, having started and been substituted at Dagenham, might sit it out this weekend.

Left-back Craig Woodman, meanwhile, is another who is being eased back following calf trouble.

Last season's non-contract signing Clinton Morrison also remains at the club but has only made one appearance off the bench this season as an 84th-minute replacement in the 3-2 opening day victory over Yeovil.

He is likely to be a substitute again and, despite boasting 172 professional goals to his name, the 36-year-old, ex-Crystal Palace and Birmingham striker, who once commanded transfer fees of £4.25million and £2million, is yet to open his account for the Grecians in 26 matches.

Exeter (probable): Olejnik, Ribeiro, Brown, Tillson, McAllister, Oakley, Holmes, Oyeleke, Harley, A Nicholls, T Nicholls.
