YORK City have signed Cardiff City teenager David Tutonda on a six-month loan deal.

Tutonda, 19, scored for Newport at Bootham Crescent last season during a 2-0 away win in April.

That effort was one of two goals he managed during 12 appearances for the Exiles.

Tuntonda, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, played at left-wing back in that contest against his new club and is likely to be considered for that role by Minstermen chief Russ Wilcox.

He will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s Sky Bet League Two curtain-raiser at Wycombe.
