NORTH Yorkshire trainer David O'Meara, who posted the 500th win of his career at Glorious Goodwood last week and added a Group 1 success to his remarkable achievements with Amazing Maria in France yesterday, can add to his tally at Ripon today courtesy of a double with Primogeniture and Snow Cloud.

PRIMOGENITURE is overdue a winning turn after finishing runner-up on his last three starts – most recently on this course when he just failed to overhaul the very much in-form Save The Bees, who adopted his usual front-running tactics.

Target for Primogeniture this afternoon is the RiponBET Place & Lucky Dip Handicap, which has attracted a six-strong field. Cadeau Magnifique, who has been running well in defeat lately, promises to pose the main danger.

Danny Tudhope, rider of Primogeniture, also takes the mount on SNOW CLOUD in the Visit attheraces.com Handicap over five furlongs.

The three-year-old finished second at Haydock last time out and had previously occupied third place at Doncaster. Another solid effort is anticipated.

Richard Fahey complicates matters in the opening British Stallion Studs Maiden Fillies' Stakes by saddling four of the 13 runners.

The entire quartet, including newcomer Mustique – the mount of stable jockey Tony Hamilton – are interesting for various reasons but marginal preference is for LEIA ORGANA, the mount of Jack Garritty, who shaped with promise on her debut at Newmarket where she finished third a couple of weeks ago.

Garritty also teams up with Fahey's RIGHT TOUCH in the £12,000 Armstrong Memorial Handicap.

A recent winner at Pontefract, the five-year-old did his job in really good style and may well be up to shrugging off a 6lb penalty, especially as he has drawn the favourable inside berth.

Fahey has another winning chance on the card with PIN UP in the SIS Live Maiden Stakes.

The well-bred filly finished second in handicap company at Thirsk on Saturday and, provided that race has not left its mark, Pin Up is fancied to go one better.

Tim Easterby, whose horses are in good form, saddles STORMIN TOM in the Fossgate Handicap and the three-year-old is fancied to appreciate this step back up to a mile and a half.

A winner at Beverley two starts ago, Stormin Tom has since finished runner-up to Mercury on the same course, again over ten furlongs. This longer trip may eke out a little bit more improvement from him.

Carlisle's evening meeting comprises a seven-race card confined to female riders, amateur and professional.

Rachel Richardson, who is enjoying such a fine campaign, is fancied to record a double on this annual card, which puts lady riders firmly in the spotlight.

Richardson can lift the Look Good Feel Better Handicap on JANAAB, who has won two of his last three starts at Ripon and Haydock. There may be more to come from Tim Easterby's gelding, who is napped to prevail.

SURROUND SOUND should also go well for Richardson and Easterby in the Racing UK Anywhere Handicap. The five-year-old failed by only a nose to beat Pertius at Catterick last time and may not have to improve much on that display to go one better.

Emma Sayer can also complete a double on Blue Jacket and Cool Baranca, both trained by her mother Dianne, who is based at nearby Penrith.

BLUE JACKET will not be inconvenienced by the shorter trip after winning over seven furlongs at Thirsk last month in the bookies.com Handicap, while the versatile COOL BARANCA is selected to capture the Hallmark Hotel Carlisle Handicap after solid efforts lately on the Flat and over jumps.

Also worth noting are Serena Brotherton on recent Ayr runner-up GLASGON (5.45) and Danielle Mooney, who rides the consistent IGGY (6.45) for Mick Easterby.
