MICHELLE Britton gamed in 16 darts and threw a maximum and a 121 in the individuals as Fulfordgate enjoyed an 8-3 victory over Marcia 'B' in the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League.

Joined by vice-captain Dawn Exton, Britton then claimed a 24-dart pairs leg, before her niece Cara Britton doubled the team's tally.

Marcia ‘B’s Anne Cornthwaite troubled the scorers before Shona Benson, Muriel Britton and Exton sealed victory.

Sharon Rishworth and Chris Hayward and Cornthwaite and Faye Hawksby narrowed the losing margin.

Marcia A's Sandra Winters, Clair Cooper, Di Moreland and Ellen Platt gave their team a commanding advantage against visitors Severus ‘A’ whose Steph Barker closed 75 and Sue Clark closed the gap.

Cooper and Moreland combined to secure match points with Winters and Platt adding a point for a 6–3 result.

Tramways ‘B’ raced into a 5–0 match winning score with Gina Whittaker, Tracey and Natalie Farmeary, Tina Platt and Bev Harton doing the damage against Burnholme, whose Jane Dobson started their points surge with Sarah Jackson and Marj Pearson and Caroline Whittaker and Dobson winning their pairs to narrow the margin.

Platt and Harton went on to secure a 6–3 success.

Ox 'B' entered the pairs with a 4-2 advantage thanks to the efforts of Sandra Bruce, Tracey Watkinson, Anne Bass and captain Maggie Tottie.

Emma Rientoul and Carole Layne kept visitors Tramways ‘A’ in the hunt.

A deciding leg was then set up by Rientoul and Jan Wilberham and Lyne and Karen Alton before Ways captain Sue Lowery combined with Judy Hall to snatch victory.

Severus ‘B’ entered the pairs all square with Edinburgh.

Ann Meek and Sue Gillon gave the club side the edge but that was relinquished as Emma Frankland and Pat Jamieson and Donna Lynes and Amanda Bevan sealed match points for Edinburgh.

Division two front-runners Ox ‘A’ were virtually unstoppable at Saddle, whose captain Doreen England stood alone against the stampede.

Despite being a player light, Shoulder recovered from being 3-0 down, as Angela Fletcher, Alice Turgoose and daughter Cris Turgoose gave visitors Clifton a good start.

Vicky Sellers and Sue Tate replied before Clifton's Dorothy Barker gained a point.

A good response in the pairs, though, from Shoulder and a single-handed pairs win from Tate secured match points.

Second placed Jubilee ‘A’ dropped vital points against visitors Acomb after the teams were tied 3–3 entering the pairs.

Laura Gatenby and Sarah Rankeillor nudged Acomb in front, before Heather Bulmer and Tracey Yeomans levelled and youngsters Libby Rankeillor and Lisa Benton snatched victory.

Burton WMC overcame Leeman with Sandra Pallister and Susan Barker and Marianne Deamer and Dawn Barket setting the early pace.

Sonja Love, Kirsty Limbert and Alison Buckley set Green Tree on the road to victory before Maggie Bedingham, Anne Allinson replied for visitors Jubilee ‘B’.

The advantage was restored, however, by Margaret Forth.

Rosie Hattee and Kelly Williams replied but the Love and Lambert pairing sealed victory with Buckley and Lisa Russell added a point for a 6–3 result.
