TAILOR Damien Mullen is celebrating after hitting golf's perfect shot.
Mullen, joint-owner of Mullen & Mullen in High Petergate, was hosting a company golf day at Sandburn Hall Golf Club, in Flaxton, when he aced the par-three 18th hole.
The 36-year-old fired an eight iron over the water onto the green but was unaware until he got to the putting surface that his ball had ended up in the hole.
He said: "I had a good first nine but I am a high handicapper, about 24, and I wasn't so good on the back nine. I couldn't quite see the shot. I saw a knee-knocking bounce and then nothing. My friend said to me 'I think that could be in'.
"If feels amazing, surreal really, and it hasn't quite sunk in. My grandmother had four holes-in-one and played into her 80s so it was nice to follow in her footsteps. It was very exciting."
