DUNNINGTON’S Jack Bolam smashed an incredible 113 from 58 balls as he hammered the Heworth attack.

It included four sixes off one over before he was caught on the long boundary. Bolam was well supported by Jake Murphy (37) as Dunnington rattled up 180-5. Lee Bradshaw smacked 46 off 36 balls in reply but it wasn't enough for bottom side Heworth.

Kieron Bloor made 57 as York notched 128-5 in 16 overs against Stamford Bridge. The villagers finished 17 runs short as Chris Burn’s 6-26 proved decisive.

Osbaldwick ended leaders Woodhouse Grange's unbeaten record with a last-ball win.

Mike Hattee (57) and Will Proctor (37) helped Grange total of 123-4. For Osbaldwick, Andy Horner hit 37 before Alex Rippon rattled off 17 from eight balls and won the match off the last delivery.

North Dalton took closer order at the top by thumping Pocklington by nine wickets.

Pock were bowled out for 96 before Shaun Tate (39) got Dalton off to a flier, leaving Ricky Woodmansey (34no) and Rob Bradley (19no) to finish the job.

Bubwith continued their domination of division two with a 22-run victory against Ovington. Needing 123 to win, Ovington got off to the worst possible start with a run out in the first over and were soon struggling at 31-4. Pete Kelly (54no) and Dom Everard (20no) enjoyed a partnership of 69 but could find the required boundaries often enough to trouble the rising run rate.

Dan Andrew hit nine fours and a couple of sixes in his 63 not out to guide Dunnington Academy to victory at Yapham.

Bishopthorpe thumped Stockton & Hopgrove by ten wickets as Scott Clapham hit 50 from only 18 balls, saving the biggest of his three sixes for the final shot of the match. Jamie Mackie's knock of 27 from 15 deliveries saw the Bishops' openers reach the required 78 runs in just 5.3 overs.

Cricket Yorkshire were in attendance at the Tang Hall Tigers v Retreat II game as part of their focus on cricket at grass roots level and were treated to a brutal innings from Retreat’s Kudrat Ali. He scored an unbeaten 73, hitting nine sixes as Retreat romped home.

There were runs galore as Heworth Nomads lost to Retreat I by ten runs. Salman Syed (56) and Abdul Khan (51) starred as Retreat made 154-4. After a slow start, Nomads’ Greg Sykes (88no), coming in at five, almost pulled off a surprise victory.

Heworth Colts, including five 15-year-olds, beat Westow in a thriller. Father and son Matt and Luke Huffer put on 97 for the Colts' first wicket before Luke was caught for 39. Huffer senior made 60 and a quickfire 34 from Chris Barratt enabled Heworth to reach 153-5. Andy Phillips (34) shared an 80-run partnership with Paul Taylor (73no) to take Westow close but brilliant death bowling from junior Dan Davison meant Taylor required a boundary off the last ball and he was unable to do so.
