WILDE INSPIRATION, trained at Norton by Julie Camacho, can clinch one of the feature races at Newacastle today as the Gosforth Park track opens for three days of action, highlighted by the John Smith's Northumberland Plate - the Pitmens' Derby - on Saturday.

The four-year-old, a winner at Haydock on his penultimate start, has since finished a close-up third to Loving Spirit at Chester.

A triple-winner in his career and a previous scorer at this course, Wilde Inspiration is fancied to get back on top in the £19,000 Betfred Seaton Delaval Handicap. Malton jockey Ian Brennan has the mount.

GIFTED MASTER may prove the answer to the opening Betfred 'Fund And Friendly' Novice Stakes in the hands of Graham Gibbons. An impressive winner on his debut at Newmarket in April, Gifted Master, trained by Hugo Palmer, has since finished fourth at Ascot and second to Buratino at Newmarket. That winner has since won at Epsom's Derby meeting and at Royal Ascot last week in the Coventry Stakes.

Gifted Master showed some attitude during his two defeats and has since been gelded. He is worth noting on his return to action.

North Yorkshire trainer Brian Ellison has a stack of runners at Newcastle over the three days and intends to saddle four in the Northumberland Plate, a squad spearheaded by Seamour.

Today, Ellison has good prospects with PRINCE HELVELYN in the Betfred TV Maiden Stakes.

Tom Eaves' mount shaped with unmistakable promise on his debut at York a couple of weeks ago to finish a staying-on third. That experience will not have been wasted on him and he can come out on top this time.

GLEESE THE DEVIL may prove the best solution to the Betfred 'Six Best Odds Races ' Handicap over two miles.

The lightly-raced gelding finished third at York on his latest start in handicap company and is fancied to enjoy this longer trip. Jack Garritty takes the mount on Richard Fahey's charge.

Apprentice Phil Dennis rode his first winner at Nottingham two weeks ago on MYSTERIAL and teams up again with Declan Carroll's gelding in the Betfred Supports Jack Berry House Handicap.

The five-year-old had five lengths to spare on his latest start and although he's got more on his plate now, off a 9lb higher mark, he is plainly a horse in good heart.

At Newmarket, Paul Hanagan could prove the jockey to follow.

The former Malton-based rider has a whole host of useful-looking mounts, including MUATADEL in the opening Countryside Alliance Maiden Stakes.

The Mark Johnston-trained juvenile looked green on his debut at Chelmsford, but showed promise when fourth to Carrington. A son of Rose Blossom, a high-class sprinter for Richard Fahey, Muatadel is likely to prove a different proposition this time with some experience under his belt.

FULLON CLARETS, trained by Richard Fahey, can be another winner for Hanagan in the Racing UK Handicap.

The three-year-old has run some solid races this season and looks well suited to this trip nowadays. He can win for a second time this term.

KHALAAS, another Hanagan mount, has good prospects in the Newmarket Nights Handicap.

The William Haggas-trained three-year-old got off the mark in maiden company at Newcastle last time out and looks fairly treated off an opening mark of 82 in his first handicap.

Also worth noting at HQ are the promising HOLLAND PARK (3.45) and DOUBLE UP (4.20), who looks a useful sprinter in the making.
