DANIEL GRANT shot to victory in the York Dragway May Super Street Shootout.
The Pennine Drag Racing Club York competition at Seaton Ross was won by the JDM class driver with a 110.35mph run.
Nathan Askey was runner-up with 105.11mph.
The American Super Stock class went to Mark Harrison with a run of 108.76mph, with Mark Reynolds second.
The Pro ET class was won by Vic Parsons with 115.98mph, while the Super Cup class went to John Sleath with 145.03mph.
Julian Webb, in his Tate Oil-sponsored jet-powered car Split Second treated spectators to a run of 191mph.
