CRESCENT ‘A’ stormed to a 6-1 win at The Ebor in division one of the York White Rose Ladies Darts League.

Crescent took the first five games, with Elsie Blackburn firing a 116, while Ebor’s only winner was Roz Kerr, who scored a 100.

Crescent ‘B’ claimed the first and last games in a 5-2 defeat at home to Bishopthorpe.

Bishopthorpe won the two pairs games, plus the three individuals through Bev Hill, June Mallory and Julie Coyle. Val Mackenzie had a 100 for Crescent.

Flag & Whistle ‘A’ crashed 6-1 at home to Acomb Sports, with Tracy Macarthy getting Flag on the board.

Julie Bond claimed a 100 for Acomb.

In division two, New Earswick were edged out 4-3 at home by Flag & Whistle ‘B’. Earswick took the first two games, but Carol Shillington teamed up with Tracey Prangnell (100) to pull one back and then Pat Drake made it 2-2.

Janet Curry made it 3-2 to Earswick and then Mary Thornton had scores of 117 and 102 but was unable to prevent Shirley Waugh levelling before Prangnell won the decider.

Den Fahey won the decisive game for New York in their 4-3 win at home to King William.


‘B’ team blitz

TRAMWAYS ‘B’ whitewashed their ‘A’ team 7-0 in the York Black Sheep Mixed Darts League.

Cris Matthews shone for the ‘B’ team, hitting 100, 125 and 140 in the singles and 140 in the four hand.

Steve Smith had two 100s and a 140 in the singles, while Sharon Neads notched an 80 checkout.

For the ‘A’ team, Jamie Alton has four 100s in the singles, and Andy Brayshaw fired a 100 and a 180 in the singles.

Golden Slipper edged to a 4-3 victory over Severus. Slipper’s Phil Smith had a 100 in the singles, Ian Johnson claimed a 136 in the four hand and Doreen Johnson had a 124 in the singles. Severus’ Steph Barker had a 121 in the singles.
