TRACEY FARMEARY gamed in 21 darts as Tramways ‘B’ edged to a 5-4 victory over Tramways ‘A’ in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.

Farmeary and Jayne Janes gave the visitors a 2-0 lead and, although Carole Layne and Jo Hodges levelled, two tons from Natalie Farmeary put the ‘B’ ranks back in front.

Emma Rientoul sent the teams into the pairs all-square, with Hodges and Karen Alton giving the home side the edge. However, Natalie Farmeary and Gina Whittaker set up a decider and Tracey Farmeary teamed up with Lauren Farmeary to settle the match.

Fulfordgate regained top spot from Tramways ‘B’ thanks to their superior win ratio, their latest success a 6-3 win at Marcia ‘B’.

Dawn Exton, Anne Bass (123, 100), Cara Britton and Michelle Britton gave Gate a 4-2 advantage going into the pairs, with Marcia points coming from Joan Hunter and Chris Hayward.

Cara Britton and Lynn Thompson sealed victory and, after Hayward joined captain Faye Hawksby to narrow the gap, Michelle Britton and Jill Reed added another point for Fulfordgate.

Burnholme held on against Edinburgh, turning a 4-2 advantage after the singles into a 5-4 victory.

Edinburgh levelled with wins for Julie Stables and Anthea Jamieson, then Donna Lynes and Amanda Bevan, but Sharon Neads and Caroline Whittaker combined to seal the points.

Steph Barker won the opener for Severus ‘A’ but they lost 6-3 to Castle Howard Ox ‘B’, who responded with wins for captain Maggie Tottie, Sandra Bruce, Denise Fowler and Flossy Crampton. Mavis Gallimore cut the deficit, but Tottie and Fowler wrapped up the win.

Pat Cairns, Babs Harrison, Stacy Morris, Ann Anderson and Carol Perrett earned Marcia ‘A’ victory over Castle Howard Ox ‘A’ before the home side got on the board through Abbie Scott.

Scott was also involved in her side’s second point from a 7-2 defeat, teaming up with Nella Majsterek in the pairs.

Acomb homed in on division two leaders Bootham Conservative Club after a 6-3 win at their rivals.

Sarah Rankeillor, Kate Rankeillor, Laura Gatenby, Rose Gray and Roz Richmon secured match points, with Jane Barnes Bootham’s lone singles winner. Jackie Church and Dot Trousdale, then Julia Hagyard and Barnes reduced the arrears before Kate Rankeillor and Gray added a further point.

Jubilee ‘A’ were 5-4 winners at Green Tree, with Laura Heward and Vicki Capes securing victory.
