MARCIA 'B' captain Faye Hawksby checked out on 110 in the pairs - but it came too late as Fulfordgate had already clinched victory in division one of the York John Smith's Ladies Darts League.

The sides were tied at 3-3 going into the pairs, but Jill Reed and Michelle Britton put Fulfordgate ahead and Muriel Britton and Cara Britton sealed the win before Hawksby teamed up with Barbara Russell.

Tramways 'B' captain Tracey Farmeary had a 20-dart leg and Bev Harton hit two tons in a 6-3 victory over their 'A' team.

The 'A' team points scorers were Carole Layne and Karen Alton in the singles and Jo Hodges and Judy Hall in the pairs.

Natalie Farmeary and Tina Platt secured match points for the 'B' team, before Tracey Farmearty and Lauren Farmeary increased the winning margin.

Amanda Bevan, Emma Frankland and Jan Netherwood ensured Edinburgh entered the pairs all-square with hosts Burnholme.

Julie Stables and Donna Lynes edged Einburgh in front, but Caroline Whittaker and Sarah Jackson set up a decider, which was won by Bevan and Frankland.

Pat Cairns, Ellen Platt, Carol Perrett and Clair Cooper sent Marcia 'A' into the pairs with a 4-2 advantage over visiting Ox 'A', whose winners were Alison Walker and Nella Majsterek.

Despite a maximum 180 from Abbie Scott, Marcia cleaned up in the pairs for a 7-2 win.

Ox 'B' were unable to raise a side, gifting Severus 'A' the points.

Division two leaders Shoulder 'A' stormed into a winning lead over Leeman, with wins for Vicky Sellers, Doreen Johnstone, Anita Adams, Elaine Metcalfe, Sue Tate and Hannah Smith.

Leeman woke up to take the remaining games.

Emma Barker was Jubilee 'B's match winner after colleagues Catherine Johns, Maggie Bedingham, Chris Peebles and Rosie Hattee had bagged points at Saddle.

Sharon Nelson broke Saddle's duck and Vicky McClaren doubled their tally in a 7-2 defeat.

Jubilee 'A' captain Heather Bulmer checked out on 91 - 19, treble 20, double six - but visitors Green Tree led 4-2 going into the pairs thanks to wins from Margaret Forth, Sonya Love, Kerry Humble and Janine Cartwright.

Julie Oliver and Louise Warren narrowed the gap, but Cartwright was joined by Sandra Flintoft to seal victory before Charlotte Smith and Brenda Dawe added a point for Jubilee.
