THERE were goals galore as City of York ladies III recorded a weekend double in Yorkshire Hockey League division two.

City of York thrashed visiting Doncaster III 11-1 on Saturday and then beat University of Leeds IV 5-0 the following day to move up to fourth in the table.

Another solid performance from Civico earned her the player of the match accolade as she worked hard with Sarah Boorman, Jenni Fitton and Julie Halford to keep a clean sheet.

The victory was wrapped up thanks to four goals from Rebecca Kearney.

City of York II lost 4-2 at table-topping Sheffield University Bankers II in the premier division.

York's scorers were Vicky Skilton and Lauren Elwood.
